I am an Associate Professor in Duke University’s Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology and Center for Genomics & Computational Biology. While at Duke, I have been named one of the 10 Scientists under 40 years old to watch by ScienceNews and our work has been recognized with innovator and investigator awards from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, the Searle Scholars Program, and the Arnold & Mabel Beckman, Hartwell, Alfred P. Sloan, and Damon Runyon Foundations.

From the fall of 2010 until 2013, I was a Junior Fellow at Harvard University’s Society of Fellows.

I received my PhD in Computational & Systems Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010, and I completed my undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in May of 2005.
