The David Lab has recently added a new computational graduate student, Firas Midani. Firas is a Computational Biology & Bioinformatics PhD student. Firas will be working to understand the structure and dynamics of human microbiota using machine learning, with partial focus on building predictive models of host-microbiome interactions that influence susceptibility to disease and pathogenic infections.
